Laughing Over Spilled Milk

I've always wanted to have a talk show sort of like Dr. Laura's but with less emphasis on my expertise as a therapist and more on getting people to see the humor in the pain and out of that humor see clarity and new possibilities.

It made me come and visit your submission.

You commented about the promulgation of bad news and what that gets us.

Check out my entry, News To Enthuse, and you will see the concept that you are looking for featuring the Good News...

Thanks Vern,

We could use a show that's a funny take on the everyday! Like Reader's Digest's "Humor in Uniform"... except without the uniforms, or Readers Digest. Great idea!

It is about time there was something really good to listen to on radio. I think your show would be a breath of fresh air. Hope you win. Good Luck, Sandy

What is it about Dr Laura that makes one want to do a whole of a lot better than she does?

I loved the little disclaimer at the end, about not talking so fast when you do your show... what are we suppose to imagine how much hostier you'll be? It's not much of a sample that does give you a sample of what you're going to be getting, now is it? We could also imagine that background "music" not being there too... hee hee hee.

We all should have said at the end, "Oh, and I'll be much better when I am really on the radio." (Which of course goes without saying.)

I rarely post entries such as this but this guy (Vern Bradley is it?) struck a chord in me. I concur with him that humor is absolutely essential in our tough and rough lives. This fellow Vern B emphasizes well what a good chuckle can do for all of us.

Vern--I WOULD LISTEN TO YOUR PROGRAM EVERYDAY. What we need in life is more laughing and more humor. We need to be able to laugh at ourselves and life's events especially the small ones. We have discovered too, that the older you get it is essential to laugh especially when you are almost deaf and don't understand what each other is saying, BESIDES all the other crazy things that happen. KUDOS TO YOU. HOPE YOUR SHOW BECOMES A REALITY.

Thanks for taking the time to listen. I'm happy you're chuckling!! If you were crying, you'd have to call the show when it comes on the air!
Thanks again
