Why Vote Dr. Floyd?

Flippin' fantastic. I want to hear this every Saturday morning. It would be like the Saturday morning cartoons I loved as a kid. (well, still love the old ones). Five stars for this one. I love it. Very entertaining.

I'm currently working my way backwards in time, starting from season 5. (Funny how this time traveling business grows on a person!)

As a fan of the Muppets, Bullwinkle, and Daniel Pinkwater, I enjoy the particular sense of humor of the Doctor Floyd series. It's smart and enjoyable on many levels, so that people of all ages can appreciate it.

An example: I just listened to episode #405, in which we visit the alternate universe where missing socks go, hear a reference to Chicago as "that toddlin' town," and learn that the voice of Alva J. Fisher (the inventor of the electric washing machine) sounds a lot like Paul Lynde.

I can't think of anyone else doing this in (somewhat) weekly installments, much less doing it this well.

The Radio Adventures of Dr. Floyd is magnificent!

I wanted something that would help keep my kids' imaginations going and help focus their mind's eye. After searching through a sea of really, really bad podcasts (arrrgh! It burns!) and some mediocre ones, we stumbled onto Dr. Floyd. My kindergartner now thinks that iPod is synonymous with Dr. Floyd. Every time we get in the car he asks, "Can we hear MORE Dr. Floyd?"

The show is fun, brilliantly simple in its educational content, witty and with just a touch of dry humor. But honestly...I gotta say I love Dr Steve and Fidgert the most. (Does that say bad things about me?)

Good luck, guys. Not only do you make a couple of kids laugh, but you make a couple of college-pedigreed adults hunch over a laptop set to low volume late at night and giggle, too. You rock.

You are amazing! I can not begin to imagine what a day must be like at your house...but it must be, well, interesting.

Do you have a cat? If so, I picture her curled up on a chair near you. You flip channels while talking back at the t.v. in different voices. The cat looks like she's sleeping, but her eyes are staring at you. She thinks this is normal human behavior. I want to be your cat.

In an age of television and special fx, its hard to grab anyone's attention on the radio. Dr. Floyd does this on sheer talent alone. Every voice is an aural delight! And I'm not just saying this cause we share the same last name. I have NEVER seen Dr Floyd at a family reunion.
Funny, engaging AND educational?! A triple threat!!!!!!!!

My kids have been listening to the Doctor Floyd podcast for some time and enjoying it immensely. The thought of Doctor Floyd on public radio makes me ridiculously happy.

I've been a fan of Dr Floyd for awhile now. As someone whose spent most of his life connected with entertainment in one form or another, it's not easy to win me over... but Dr Floyd won my loyalties from the very first moment I heard him! It's rare to find a program that's creative, witty, educational, family friendly and JUST PLAIN FUN!!!

And of course, Dr Steve and Fidgert are always welcome when I'm hosting an Open Mike!
