Serendipity

In this entry I express some insights and questions as to the nature of serendipity and offer an experiment in the form of a radio program.

What is your unexpected discovery and where did you find it?

Serendipity just happens, it's not something that can be made to happen.

May you experience the serendipitous often.

Steve

It falls to the enlightened, and the intelligent and the sane to take responsibility for the deluded or doltish or insane.

This is a really cool idea because it connects people across time and space via the airwaves. The question is a potent catalyst for learning and understanding and I'm interested in what people want to know about and what they know. In a world where everything is relative and nothing is true, it would be great for people to make a choice about how they feel and what they believe, suspending disbelief if only for a moment.

He's got nothing on this guy. I'd be interested to see how your idea would play out legistically. I like the inter-active element of it all, in any case. And, yes, the beats are in fact sweet. As are most beets.

This is such an interesting idea for a program. For me it conjures up thoughts and images of the ideas people might have, and makes me wonder how I would respond to all those ideas. I'd be so intrigued to see where this program would take us every day!

I love this idea! Have you heard of the digital artist Johnathan Harris and the project "Universe" and "We Feel Fine." They are sort of a digital rendition of a similar theme. Check it out at Cool Hunting: http://www.coolhunting.com/archives/2007/03/jonathan_harris.php. Very cool stuff. No, I'm not affiliated at all with the Web site or artist, just very impressed with this idea. It would be so interesting to see how many people were musing about the same issues on one day. Would you include repeat questions/answers in the show? Why only Chicago? This would be a fun exercise to take to the road. All of America is interesting. But I say that cuz I live in Idaho and I would be so fascinated to hear what an episode based here would include. Probably wolves, bears and war. And today, a murder trial.

Nice work!

I am impressed. The idea is great. Even the music was good, and your voice is a little bit sexy.

What would your first question be?

Nice job on the entry. Your voice has a nice, mellow earnestness to it. Your personality seems inquisitive and thoughtful. Good luck!

I would love to see where a show like this would end up. Sweet beats behind the voice track too.
