What. You? A host?
This is a compilation of interviews where I asked people who know me what makes a good NPR radio host and why I might make a good NPR host. Even my three-year-old son gives great counsel. The process helped me get very clear of what kind of host I am in life and what kind I might be on the radio.
Really nice. And you don't mind being characterized as a chihuahua. Good luck!
You got upstaged by your kid, now that's a risky move! Nicely done. And who in their right mind interviews blood relations? You have lots of chutzpah my friend and talent.

Oh, kids are so cute. You got me there. I couldn't go to the next entry because I knew that you were going to end with a cute quote from your kid! But anyway, I really enjoyed what you had to say about hosting: the subject should shine. What was that, the quest is the guest? Something like that. But you are spot-on. That is what makes me want to listen. I am really turned off by "hosts" with big egos. I don't want to know about them. I want to hear what their guest/contributors/content is all about. Good job. This is a very strong entry.

Thanks! Christopher.
Great clip, nice voice and personable manner. Loved your son also! Shannon
Hearing you and your son gives me hope for the future and a newly discovered respect for hyper chihuahuas. :-)
You've got it. I love the interplay between you and the "guests." I think the hardest people to interview are our friends. Isn't that weird? You handled it expertly. A lot of self-deprication, too, which I adore.
Great job.

the hair quality thing is classic, especially for *radio.* your son was also very cute. I also appreciated the crystal clear audio (a rarity!). not that i am voting on audio quality but... it is nice!
i definitely like it! PS thanks for your comment!

People either do what they are predisposed to do, or compelled to do.

It is all about you...and your hair. The question remains...how does this piece affect your hair?
Your hair does contain multitudes. Truer words have never been spoken...Thanks bud.

...in under 2 minutes! Nice! I think you'd be a great host. PS - I don't think jumpy chihuahua-ness matters in radio.
Loved your clip. Getting comments from friends and family is a great idea, which I considered but had no time to do. Also I feared their reponses, so I commend your bravery. Your use of the kid was just enough to make me smile without it being too cutesy. And the whole thing was put together really well. Good job all round!
Great entry and very "This American Lifey" :)

This is exactly waht public radio needs-really fun, informal & engaging. If I get my show, you're on as an early guest!
I agree daddy, if you love it then do it. What an inspiration from your son. Very Nice piece I especially like your concept that the guest is the real talent. Great Job!!
Please go to http://www.publicradioquest.com/node/1171 and post your entry so everyone can hear this gem.

A great piece! I especially like the "what radio?" comment.
(You've got a dulcimer voice too)
When does your show start?!
