M-Audio Microtrak

I have a Microtrak too and I thought it had 1/4 inch inputs, but actually, they are "tip ring sleeve" 1/4 inch inputs, which basically means the 1/4 inch has to have a little ring around it in a certain place or it won't work correctly. I suggest you purchase a tip ring sleeve splitter and you should be recording in stereo in no time. Also, be sure to update your Microtrak firmware at the M-Audio website because they are always fixing bugs and improving stuff for that little piece of equipment. Best of luck!

It's possible, just make sure the adapter is Mono at the quarter inch end other wise the signal will still be split to one side. Also check if the xlr to quarter inch cable is normal phono or TRS.
