If you are planning on entering the contest, for that matter even if you aren't, don't forget to fill out your user profile. It'll help potential voters learn more about you and why they should vote for your entry. You can edit your profile by logging in and then going to your "my account" section.

When you are logged in you'll see a grey box on the left side of the page. Click the my account link, then click edit, then personal information. Here's mine for example.

There are so many submissions to be listened to… I would like to make one little plea, a simple request to treat others as you would like to be treated. If someone leaves you a comment, it would be an act of reciprocity for you to visit their audio submission and give them a listen, and if so moved, leave them a comment. Remember those that make your day, by letting you know that you have been heard; deserve the same in return from you. After you have processed the audio submissions of those that have listened to you, then you can go back to randomly listening to entries.

It falls to the enlightened, and the intelligent and the sane to take responsibility for the deluded or doltish or insane.

I've had an unmitigated absolute blast listening to folks' entries... The dimension of going to check out their profiles adds a great deal.

For those folks who have filled out their profiles, their entries come to life - almost as though you can "see" them telling their stories.

Cheers!

I called myself Balderdash because it is my traditional outburst to much of what I see and hear inside the beltway in Washington DC. I would like to have a radio talk show where people can discuss issues that are have to do with how we Americans define ourselves, what is are real culture and who we really want to be. I consider the American mythology to be the most important factor in our day to day life, our politics and national agendas. If only the myths can be exposed and we can see ourselves for who we really are, we reach for our highest potential. There is a great need for us to see our faults and our strengths properly so we can strive to make ours a just and compassionate country. For example, the Cinderella myth drives many people to forsake their socio-economic class and atomizes social structures so that individuals spend most of their energy striving for economic improvements and they ignore the other parts of life that have far more potential to bring happiness and satisfaction to the most people.
