from wimp to warrior
I might have liked a little more energy, but your story was nice. With a little work, you could be an engaging host.
It's the voice, so easy to listen to and a very witty story well told.
Nice captivating voice and personable, too.

Very Captivating Voice
Totally kept my interest.....I could picture scenarios as they were told.
Good story with humor....very inspiring, too.
Great job !!
You are interesting to the listener (me)and easy on the ears. The story was unique and like Izzy (judge) says a story must make you feel & taste what you hear. Great Job. You got my vote!
As a fan of NPR, I was plaeasanly surprised to hear a new and thoughtful voice.
I wondered where you were going with this, and actually chuckled to myself as you revealed the last line.
You certainly packed a punch.
the writing, the performing, the kicking all wonderful. on the radio and in life you are the calming voice of a good friend who's wit and insights give you a kick in the pants when needed.
This is relaxed, funny, and honest; a great listen. Thanks for time well spent.

...and one of them just got a boost from listening to your entry!
Great ending. I like how you wrapped that up. What an inspiring story, but not schmaltzy (sp?) or anything. I love that thought, anyone can change. But I think there is something else here, too. You like kickboxing. Doing things that make you happy, makes you a more successful person. I really believe this. Sounds like you do, too. Good job on this piece. I still have your voice in my head. Your tone is ... haunting. This is a really strong entry.

Elizabeth, you are so right: happy experiences not only make us more successful, they make us more interesting. I really appreciate your kind words, particularly since I am just an amateur at this.
You don't sound like an amateur. But I know what you mean, I'm pretty new at this myself. And people have been blowing me away with their kindness and support. It is really awesome. I love the Quest. What will we do when it's over? Ugh. I'm not going to think about that yet. However, I hope you continue to produce work like this.

Well done. I can relate with your track and feild experiance. No worries because you have a good entry.

I enjoyed your submission... er, I mean entry.

I’ve come to see that the ultimate source of all human anguish is that we are finite beings sentient of infinity.
Thanks for the kind words. You don't even want to know what happened when I attempted the high hurdles!
Wonderful sense of humor, you have - I really enjoyed your piece, your perspective, and your voice.
Great conclusion! I walked right in to it.
