The dramatic tale of a girl and her retina and what can happen in a very nearsighted world.

i wish i had heard this during the voting round -- it is tops! What an interesting story. You tell it so naturally and vividly. And without any self-pity. A refreshing angle on this wild ride of life. Kudos.

beautifully told story. I really think you have a gift, here. You told your story without the melo-drama, the "poor me," victim of the world tone that really turns me off. It truly is just an interesting story about you. I think your voice is just wonderful. I could listen to you tell stories (about anything, really) for days on end. Good job on the entry. And good luck with your next story!

I love your voice and the way you use it. Your writing is excellent as well.

Next, your story reminds me of something my father used to do when using cameras. He'd use his left eye when looking through the viewfinder in order to access his right (creative) brain. If his photos and films are any testament, the technique works like a charm.

So, perhaps your creative powers have been heightened by your loss. I'd sure like to think so.

I feel calmer just listening to you. And it's great that you're willing to reveal so much about yourself.

Nice job!

Great job, good voice, nice pacing.
It is too bad that you gained all your weight that you lost, but not your vision. Yes, I am trying to be a tad funny! Got to laugh at this stuff, and if I offended you, SORRY. I too have a similar condition. So far, I still have SOME site in my right eye and my left eye does all the work.
BUT I CAN TELL, ABOUT YOU, YOU HAVE NOT LOST YOUR VISION AND YOU NEVER WILL. PLEASE ALWAYS REMEMBER THAT, only because I believe that about you and so many people with whom I work in my private practice, and I keep telling them that s--t, but I believe it is good s--t, so prove me right!! not because of me, but because of you and all the people who have VISION.
gOOD LUCK

I can see people sitting in their driveways until you finish just about anything.

Ultimately the paradoxes of life make fools of us all. So if we would be wise we should study life's paradoxes and confront our abject foolishness head on.
