Odd thoughts
Hi Toney--thanks for your feedback on my submission! I like your idea too--it's way different, and well, odd. Good luck to us both!

That made me laugh out loud. Thank you! And I would love to hear something like this on public radio. There's a reason why, several years ago, SNL could make fun of NPR with an absurdly bland talk show featuring (very realistic) bland hosts. It's because public radio can be ... well ... bland. So an avowed odd person interviewing odd people in odd jobs with odd ideas? Shake the bushes and find these folks and then shake up the listeners. Go for it. Best - patrick
I think this sounds like a great idea for a show, and I hope you are able to get it going.
P.S. I don't want to go along to the carny, but I would like to know more about the chewing gum/alien connection, since it puts a new spin on all the gum that was stuck under the counter at our local soda fountain.
Tony,
This is really unique and colorful.
I love the idea and you may find that your are not all that odd. There are a lot of crayon chewers out there. So speak your truth, dude!
Thanks,

NPR needs a show like this! goodluck I hope to be a future listener
Thanks for the comment. It would be great to give "the odd lot" a try, I think it would be a lot of fun for both the listener and myself...I mean who wouldn't wanna hear something like a group of old tattoo artist's weirdest job tales.
Different is good. Good concept that needs a hook in beginning. I'm glad I read the other comments which told me to listen to the end. There must be endless material out there to support such a show.
Would love to hear more.

Getting to the bottom of things...
The last bit was where you really got going. It's an interesting idea for a show and I would have loved to hear about more odd jobs and the questions you'd ask.
Good luck!

I agree, I wasn't completely happy with the beginning either. But once it's on the site there isn't any changing!
Did you get a chance to hear mine? I'd love more feedback.

Hey Toney,
Great idea for a show! Who doesn't want to hear about odd people and the strange things they do? It doubly works because _everybody_ is odd in some way, which could for even more fascinating interviews than the obvious ones... Good luck!

Good job -- whip for a hand, brilliant!
You think you're chocolate but you're chewing GUM! Sorry, this put that Annie song in my head for some reason. Cool chat about aliens, this might make a good side feature on an NPR anthology thing. We should all make some longer pieces and post them somewhere for our own listening pleasure? Just thinking out loud.
Good luck!

Nice voice and interesting idea! I'd listen to your show. I gave you five stars. Good luck!
Man, I really enjoyed your piece. I'll admit it came off to a slow start at first, but I like your personality and your twisted sense of humor. I could definitely see you hosting a show that's a combination of "This American Life", "Ripley's Believe It Or Not", and "Weekly World News".
It's cool that you're a weirdo, because I like weirdos. Ordinary people are boring, so I wish you all the best!
I like the premise and the voice. I'd definitely tune in. Good luck, Toney!
