Insert witty comment here.

Hilarious. And scary. Scary because most of the Pat Robertson sound bytes were probably not taken out of context.

Sounds like J. Levy's radio program would be a delightful mix of politics and entertainment that a young audience could really latch onto. And what a voice that man has!

Boundless talent and chords that make you feel like he's your best friend (and he does in fact have about 8,000 best friends), I'm convinced that he is the future of radio. Listeners' daily experience would be hightened by the sense that he's telling it like it is, and he actually knows what he's talking about. He's your man.

All of the great Rev. Robertson's shortcomings are Bill Clinton's fault. Regardless, great piece. 5 stars.

Jonathan Levy is taking public radio where it has never gone before. Nuff said.

Submitted by jasonsamuelsmith on June 1, 2007 - 12:42pm.

You've brought my distaste for public radio to new levels. Wait, is "distaste" the right word? No, I think I mean "pleasure of listenng to." Yes, that sounds agreeable.

Submitted by Stephi on May 31, 2007 - 3:48pm.

...but I want more of it. So many things to laugh about. I'm looking forward to hearing Mr. Rooney's interview. Can you ask him WHY he has to do those horrid diabetes commercials every night on Fox? He has a lot of trouble pronouncing it. It's something like "Dye-a-beet-is." None of my family members who HAVE it pronounce it like that...and they're from Kentucky.

Being both a Christian and a far leaning Democrat...I was thrilled with your piece! That was So funny. I don't envy you having to listen to hours of tapes to get those quotes...wait, that probably just flowed out of his mouth in a few minutes.

When do you do the one on the President?
Head of Enron? The candidates? The gun lobby?

This needs to be on SNL!

Not only was your piece funny and surprisingly educational (I had no idea Pat Robertson was that much of a nut-job), but you've got a great voice for radio. Keep it up.

Submitted by Rene Gutel on May 20, 2007 - 10:29am.

i enjoyed that. some of those quotes were unbelievable... seemingly bizarre in any context at all!

Submitted by Mike B on May 20, 2007 - 10:21am.

This was certainly an entertaining clip, but if Jonathan Levy makes it to the next round, I hope there is more meat to his show than simply taking audio clips out of context.

but PatRo (his name on the street) probably beats the record number of crazy things in one hour of TV than all the mentally ill roaming the New York subway system.

Well done Mr. Levy! Molten Velvet Away!

I have been following this wild man's career since he was with The Bill Press Show. What a talent. The comedic timing - nothing short of brilliant. I cannot wait to see him crowned and blue-ribboned the champion of this contest.

This was really great, never new Pat wanted to get rid of us nice, well-bred Episcopalians. What'd we do? I believe you'll win this, and if not, it was all worth it for the "molten velvet" comment.
