Startup Studio spotlights entrepreneurs who once lived ordinary lives and went on to create something extraordinary from the businesses they created from scratch. Hear how they did it. Learn how you can too.
I particularly like how you draw in the listener at the very start. The "interviews" were also seamlessly put together. Nice job!
Good energy, great voice and a terrfic show premise. Best of luck to you.

Great idea, well executed, strong content, terrific voice. This really had it all; nicely done. I actually had a pet rock. Sadly, one day, someone didn't close the gate all the way, and when I got home from school, well....
Anyway,again, nice work.

I laughed out loud. And thank you very much for the compliments!

And I enjoyed your entry - you did a great job pulling off the one-sided phone call. Good luck!

What a delight to listen to.

It falls to the enlightened, and the intelligent and the sane to take responsibility for the deluded or doltish or insane.
Now THAT is my kind of host. Great concept and really well executed. Impressive too is your getting guests who have proven track records and are articulate enough to give us insights into how they got them. Very good interviewing skills! Brava!
You have a formidable set of natural gifts that indicate you may be better able to do this job than anyone else here - great voice, top-notch writing, personable hostiness, and superb interviewing skills. I really enjoyed this entry, and it captivated me in a way few other interview clips have done so far. If you're not in the next round, then I'll eat my pet rock.

Both bitter and sweet: Sweet idea, nice concept and obviously you have the background to dig out those interesting business starts that went onto success!
Bitter, because I didn't think of the rock idea...
Good: writing into tape!

Wowie. Great credentials, hosty-toasty voice, super-solid idea. Perfect positioning statement. The whole biz. I would think the only problem might be - with all this success in back of you - you couldn't afford the pay cut to work for public radio!
Looking forward to hearing you in the next round.

And didn't mention them in your blurb? That's humility. I went to your web site and listened to you interview the inventor of the Kong dog toy. Hilarious. I love that his initial inspiration was to break his dog of the habit of chewing rocks.
Good luck in the contest.

Betsy,
You did a great job on this. An engaging concept, professional delivery, strong production values, illustrative stories from your interview subjects--all in only two minutes. Wow.
Now I understand why flying has become such a nightmare. Like NWA's employees, apparently passengers are also expected to "do things for themselves," and shouldn't expect any in-flight service.
Good luck in the contest.
Mary
