Intellectual Bigamy and Other High Crimes
You definitely stand out. Yours would be the kind of show people have to chew on for a while. That's not all bad. Thanks.
Would appreciate anyone checking out my submission:
Absolutely mesmerizing. Subject be damned!

You and me, babe, let's battle all the way to the final round! Blowing chunks of cheese and haiku along the way! Teehee!
Thanks, I was much impressed with your entry, too!

Hello-You are my competition in this contest but I have to say you are the first I've listened to that seems to have a comfortable grasp on what it is
to be engaging!Love your sound and mood you set.
Would love to hear what you think of mine.

No, not in my lerkim, but on this site for days, more than a week in fact. How is it that I just, only just, stumbled across your site on this day, the tenth day of my public radio talent quest adventure? Not sure, but now that I've found you, my ears will never forget and may even become botherersome what with the endless asking after your whereabouts. Stay dry in the rain soaked Northwest and may your nightstand never be bare.
To good reading,
Theresa
But now, says the Once-ler,
Now that you're here,
the word of the Lorax seems perfectly clear.
UNLESS someone like you
cares a whole awful lot,
nothing is going to get better.
It's not.
Thanks for the compliments! They make things much better!
Especially since lately I was getting much wetter!
(Was up in Seattle to help a friend move)
But now that I'm home I'll get back in my groove,
And comment on others as others need comments -
I've learned if you like 'em they'll treasure your tuppence.
Teehee!

You got a great voice! Kinda reminds me of Donald Sutherland. Your rhythm is amazing! I consider myself an intellectual bigamist as well. Although my favorite writers are Hunter S. Thompson, Douglas Adams, and Philip K. Dick.
It is far better to be an intellectual bigamist than it is to be an intellectual bigot!

...if only there were a little LESS of it!
Your trio of favorite writers is pretty darn good, too! If we are what we eat, surely we are what we READ, too?!
Thanks for the compliments and backatcha!

listened to you after seeing your posts peppered across the site and completely get why everyone has been raving about you.
Fabulous voice - dare i say, very sexy.and I LOVE that you talk about books, or as you would say, writers.
I often say that reading saved my life. As a kid, I impersonated anthony burgess and v.s. naipaul among others. So would ABSOLUTELY listen to a show you hosted on writing and writers.
Listen to me talk:

Thank you commenting. It got me to seek out YOUR entry and I'm very glad to have done that. Books. I love them. I'm currently reading a multibiography on the five granddaughters of Queen Victoria who ended up with thrones of their own.

Your voice is like smooooth jazz.
Ther first book that hooked me was "A Wrinkle in Time" I was 9. Now in my fifties I am a wrinkle in time. What fun to think of a series concentrating on total works of an author! Good work.
Wrinkle in Time. Yeah. That's me too! Teehee!
Interesting. You presumed that I was pitching a series - and I wasn't. My primary idea (I have more than one) isn't at all related to writers, except obliquely. In fact none of my ideas are.
That said, what an interesting idea YOU've suggested!
Thanks for the compliments!

I enjoyed your piece immensely. Your voice is soothing and inviting. I prefer to use the term misguided curiosity rather than stalking! As long as you’re not rummaging through the trash for discarded writing, you're all right by me! Thank You for your lovley comments. Good luck with this and all your endeavors.

Anyone *hungry* for a little hostiness should check out your entry.

Thanks for the good words and for battling those HOOPS to get them here!!!

Awesome deep voice! I've never heard anyone make the word "bigamist" sound like such a come on before. I would definitely listen to a podcast if you have one!

Thanks for the compliments!
I've had folks try to get me to do a podcast reading short stories for ages, but I've not quite figured out the technology behind it - and since I still have dialup, this much I know - uploading would be h*ll.
Nevertheless, this contest has made me think again about looking more seriously into podcasting.

Stong voice and delivery - had my attention the whole time. Hints of David Ogden Stiers, Kelsey Grammer and Orson Welles (no offence)

I'm a fat man with white beard and big pipes - of *course* Orson's name rises to your lips! How could it not?!
Teehee!
Seriously though, it's not Orson who's my inspiration - even though I look and sound like him. It is Peter Ustinov who is God.
Thanks for the compliments and backatcha!

...to play The Wicked Fairy in Ustinov's THE LOVE OF FOUR COLONELS. It was the role he wrote for himself - so you can just *imagine*. I had no end of fun with the character. If you aren't familiar with the piece, track it down. It's a hoot!
