Hi,
Your show comes under the umbrella of Sustainability, and I wanted to keep in touch with you.
No matter who wins, lets all of us eco-green Sustainable folks stick together, and lobby NPR for our kind of show.

Little chicken on the prairie! Oh, what a nice entry. You made me giggle and kept my attention, all while creating a story out of ... chicken scratch, really. Oh, eggs! This is great. I too have frozen in front of the egg section, the freezer section, shoot, the soap section, wondering at which choice is best. Good job catching my fading attention span. I really think this is a strong entry. Good luck to you!

Great voice. I can hear you signing over to Teri Gross or introducing David Sedaris. Important information too. Alice Waters would be proud.

If you really want to be green you need to know the green footprint of the eggs. For example how much energy was used to transport the eggs to the store, how much was used in making the feed for the chickens, are they caged in a dark hut all day requiring electic lights.

I am not green but if you wanted an easy way to at least buy the greener of two products pick the one produced closest to where you are shopping. At least you know that it used less fuel while being transported to you grocery store ;)

You sound so NPR. I mean, very well-spoken and expressive. And very comforting, too. I could just listen to you talk. Oh, I hope you get it!

I loved this. I really connected to your struggle and was amazed by the simplicity of your solution. It just goes to show how a little bit of hope can go a long way!

And you have an amazing speaking voice.

Good luck!
