Check out the Alaska crew
Alaska is a breeding ground of great public radio talent. Okay, maybe not a breeding ground in the literal sense.... but think about it. Corey Flintoff, Peter Kenyan, Elizabeth Arnold....all hailed from APRN. Meet the new APRNers:

Alaska here I come! Wow, I am so impressed with the number and the quality of the really talented people from Alaska taking part in this quest. Seriously.

… that it’s only half an hour from Alaska”, goes the old joke.
And Alaska’s broadcast legacy is broader than just Corey, Peter, and Elizabeth.
NPR’s Tom Goldman and Marika Partridge both came North to the Future before doing time on Mass Ave.
Plus, public radio’s far deeper than just NPR. Don’t forget Katy Clark,
Jeb Sharp, Margo Melnicove, and Patrick Cox -- to name a few from PRI and the BBC -- who first toiled on the Last Frontier.
And of course, Gabriel Spitzer and Ashley Gross recently grooved on from the Great Land to Chicagoland at national powerhouse program producer WBEZ.
Public radio in Alaska is bigger than any one network too – don’t forget pros like former Alaska Edition anchor Theresa Bakker, and KUAC reporter Libby Casey, winner of the Alaska Press Club’s highest award in 2007. And Camille Conte, and Greta Maren, and Marietta, and on, and on the radio…

No one should, look back with regret on all that they never did: the beauties they did not see, the music they did not hear, the flavors they did not taste, the aromas they did not inhale, the sensations they did not feel.
