Jim (Bear) Pearson explores "wow them with me."
My is a short stream of consciousness about me, about my passions, about my thinking. Listen in STEREO, headphones are good! You can also read my mind in my blog http://blog.jimmybearpearson.com. You can also see me and my music at http://jimmybearpearson.com.
Pick me! :-)
I appreciate all the comments, the listens, the thoughts, the posts, and the absolute blast that it has been up to this point.
Win, lose, or draw... I'm going to hang out here for quite a while.
And now I can reveal my true persona: I am actually an evil genius scientist musician Bear! BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!
Peace everyone! Phase 1 has been a true and wonderful adventure.

Glad to be one of the 61 Jims.
Seriously. I love your sense of humour here and in your posts to various forums. I like what you've done with your two minutes. One of my best friends has a Hallowen birthday. Must be something in the stars. So, good work. I would definately like to hear more from you. Maybe you could combine science and music in your show. I'd listen to that.
Cheers,
Theresa
You do have a great voice- was fun to listen to your clip! Good luck...

I liked the blend of awe-shucks feel to your comfortable tone and the serious edge befitting a scientist. The combination of humor and range in talent was quite nice. I can imagine you telling stories on the radio and I would gladly tune in! Best of success in the contest.

Great voice Bear!
It's not the everyday "radio" voice or the standard npr voice, but it's smooth and relaxing. I could listen to your show on a saturday afternoon.

Wow, great stuff. You covered it all.

Well... more or less. I certainly think you had 'hostiness' (whatever that is).
Enjoyed your 2 min... it was like a friendly chat.
Oh and thanks for using the term 'far-out'... personally I use 'groovy', but then I like vinyl...
Best of luck to you.

Hi Jim!
Thanks for the really nice comments on my piece. It was truly appreciated. It's so good to know that, with little-to-no experience in creating an MP3/ radio file, I was able to do something that people would think was worth commenting on!
As for music and science... I think they DO go together!! From sound waves and doppler effect, to the hammer, anvil, and stirrup, right down to music therapy - so many ways it relates- I think you can do it! :)
Your piece showed a well-rounded voice and aptitude for entertainment. Not to mention, it was interesting and fun!
Good luck to you!

Dear Bear, I've been missing Tom Bodett ... maybe you are the next Tom Bodett. Love the delivery and humor. Jill
Great entry Bear! I love the way your voice and presentation roll along and travel the different paths of radio, all with a wonderful sense of humor and fun.
Thanks for the comment on entry, too!

good things coming to bear...that's what I'm missing...a cool name...bummer.
FYI there's some bear history in our household as well. Clearly you're a great entertainer. Darn all this stiff competition! Thanks for your words to me as well. P.S. Way to go on asking for the sale. Break a leg.

I enjoyed your piece, great voice. Good luck!
To each and every one of you... to each of you that has commented, sent emails, and notes of support: thank you very much!
I am very much humbled by your responses and thoughts. This has been one of the best and most satisfying "sound" experiences I've ever had.

Awesome. Very personable but listenable too... I loved it.
Your submission shows that you have versatility in your voice as a radio host. Sounds great!
Go, big bear! I really like your entry. You've gained my trust and made me laugh. It'd be greedy to ask for too much more.
Jennifer
You have a great command of the medium. What would you do with a radio show if you had one?
I like this track. It's very unique. You have a comic style that's remeniscent of Rodney Dangerfield, Jerry Seinfeld, and Louis C.K. I also like the dubbing in of your instrumentals. Good stuff!
