Looking Back
I think you're strongest when you're telling the story of being in Fenway Park -- your voice gets more ... alive, somehow. :)
Good stuff; I'd listen to more.
Adam
As a person who makes very large mistakes on a regular basis, I find great comfort in hearing about others' blunders, too. :-)

Keep on rockin' in the free world.
Ok you got me. It was cool minty blue just like the bottle of Listerine my mother had always kept in the exact same place under the sink. Satisfied?
As for Manheim Steamroller, growing up in Nebraska where they were actually from (not Germany) I had to listen to them more than . . .well let's just say gargling with windex might not have been an accident.
(Sorry public radio folks, especially KIOS -- I know all about your fondness for the 'Roller. Especially the X-mas album.)
Well, this is a bitter pill to swallow... Manheim Steamroller if from Nebraska?!? Don't think I won't expose my father for this... perhaps in a few weeks for Father's Day.
Thank you for that bit of knowledge... and I feel your pain.
Thank you for sharing! Don't you feel better?
I was a big fan of the Banana Bunch until- I saw a poster of star Jack Wild in Tiger Beat (or one of those teen fan mags). His smile displayed an appalling lack of dental hygiene. Because the poster was printed using something cheaper than the four color process, the three days of crud stuck between his teeth was a sickly green! Ugh! God, Jack! Brush your teeth! It was no small moment. Thanks for taking me back.

But you're not very congruent. Your message says one thing, but your actions say another.
You say you want to hear about everyone's small moments, and yet, the best I can tell you have not listened to anyone's submissions... when are you planning to start being the person you say you are?
I've done that same thing about the concentrate box vs the juice box.
Steve
It falls to the enlightened, and the intelligent and the sane to take responsibility for the deluded or doltish or insane.
Well first, thank you Steve for ranking me with 4 stars... I appreciate you taking the time to listen very much, especially with 1400+ entries out there.
I don't know if I am doing things incorrectly on the site, but I have listened to a couple dozen entries so far, and am looking forward to the long weekend to do more.
Are user-points the indication of activity? I suppose my lack of ranking other contestants would look like a lack of interest in listening to the posts of others... and it appears that we get points for ranking and posting comments but not clicking/listening to entries. It might seem weird, but I had an internal conflict about "voting" as a contestant. I do see your point, though.
Either way... it would be odd, if not, obnoxious for me to say I love hearing other people's stories, and not listening to them. So, I will get with the program.
Lastly, if not mostly, thank you for stepping forward and letting me know I'm no the only one who has thought a box of juice concentrate was merely a juice box with no straw-hole. I feel much better...
My thought is that the small moments in life can have tremendous impact on us.
The blunders, epiphanies, observations, kind words, small moments, tragedies... and the impression that event had on you would impact others greatly and stir up similar, if not equivalent moments. Also, I need to know if I'm the only one who has mistaken a box of juice concentrate, for a juice box with no straw-hole...
