Bring us the world in music! I once worked at a community radio station where world music was an intergral part of our eclectic format. I developed a serious taste for the polyrhythms of AfroPop (Salif Keita, Youssou N'Dour, Mbongeni Ngema among others) and was amazed by the similarly haunting harmonies of The Mysterious Voices of Bulgaria and a choir on Rapa Nui. I once tried to program music from all seven continents in a single show. Six were easy to find, but the closest I could come to Antarctica was the Penguin Cafe Orchestra. I enjoyed listening.

Steve

I’ve come to see that the ultimate source of all human anguish is that we are finite beings sentient of infinity.
