You never forget your first time (on the air...). A funny story.
For rookie college radio personalities, a brutal time-slot is an unavoidable rite of passage.
Freshman year: Wednesdays from 3-5am.
Perhaps the greatest perk of an off-peak shift is that customary station rules don’t really apply…you can pretty much say and play whatever you want.
I've listened to well over 800 entries and I truly believe yours is the best voice of them all. I would absolutely listen to you. Now, what would you say? If it is anything like your entry, I'm sure it will be interesting, funny and relevant to many people's experiences. First time listener, ready to be a long time fan. Good work!

You've got a great delivery. It's original, hip and inclusive, as opposed to, I'm so much hipper than you (is "hip" even a hip word these days, this forty-something must ask?). Plus you have something interesting to say. Nice work.
Good luck.

I kept listening! No annoying voice here. Great entry & thought-provoking. You've definitely got what it takes for hostiness in my view. Much success! - Joy

of course -- but I listen to public radio so what do I know.
When I lived in Athens, Georgia -- home of WUOG 90.5 FM -- great college radio --I would often leave the radio on when I went out at night. You know, some kind of safety thing.
I don't know how many 3ams were rescued for me when I'd come home to a house surprised to find that some really great music was playing, and I felt certain I was one of the few to be privy to hearing it at that hour.
I'll always have a special corner staked out on the mean streets of my heart for you 3a djs. ;)
Thank you for reminding me of those weird wonderful times. Loved your clip and good luck.
As much as I like meatloaf, I would definitely keep listening. This was honest, funny, and well delivered.

Are you kidding? An annoying voice!? No way... you have a lovely voice and what's more, you really have something to say about radio! Brava!
I do think it would keep me in my car to hear more!

Oh so important, that!
I gave you five stars.

It falls to the enlightened, and the intelligent and the sane to take responsibility for the deluded or doltish or insane.
?
Buttery without being melted, some honest hostiness there. That was fun.
Hey, at least your fellow college radio DJs didn't come up behind you while you were on the air to feel you up, specifically to see if you'd crack on the air ;-x
