I'm going to go with Helen Mirren as Detective Jane Tennison in the Prime Suspect series. It was a British series---and one of the best shows EVER. I also really like the team of Chris Meloni and Mariska Hargitay on L&O SVU.

opinion of The View: I finally wrote to the Viewmaster to say that if they didn't remove Elisabeth Hasselbeck, I'd never tune in again. In my book, being a contestant on Survivor does not a great TV host make. Rosie tried to be an agent of change - she has a conscience at least.

I'm just going to slink off with my radio and remember my childhood juggling rabbits ears to get a marginally better picture... until I let go and it went bad again.

But I can answer the guilty pleasure one... my gym has individual screens on the cardio equipment and I log on to see if Oprah or Dr. Phil sounds more fun, and then I work out flicking between Op/DrP and the home makeover shows on HGTV. Only reason I work out, really. I call it my Buns of Steel, Brains of Mush workout.

BTW, I don't live without a TV out of intellectual superiority, but because I am a weak willed person and would have junk on and waste all my evenings. Like having a vat of chocolate in the house.
