the final word...

Submitted by reXy on June 2, 2007 - 3:53pm. ::

with so many entries in round one..
and with many diversities in styles .. approaches..
techniques.. voices..

there's one thing we all have in common ..

the 'eX.perience' of this challenge..

i would be curious.. as i am...
if you could put your whole eX.perience down to one word..

what would that word be? ..

come on.. you narrowed down an entry down to two minutes.. you can bring it down to one word..

i guess from my eX.perience and the technology and foward thinking.. my word would be..

'innovative'

wHat has your eX.perience been here at the quest in one word?

drunk!
fULFILLED!
yes!

I have beat myself up for years for not being more aggressive at approaching local radio stations and saying, Hey, I have a show. Are you interested? So when I heard about the Quest on PBS, I knew I had to do it. And I did. I feel SATISFIED, ACCOMPLISHED, BUT not finished. Maybe this will be the motivation to be aggressive on the local level!!
Congrats to all of you, all 14 hundred and whatever it is in change, ALL OF US. We did something! Remember CRITICAL MASS. Public radio will never be the same because of 14 hundred and some folks who had the courage to put two minutes up for the rest of the world to hear and critique!
Well, I guess, that is enuf!!!

The best 2 minute investment I ever made.

I never expected to have so much fun, to experience the level of talent floating about this country, or to be on chat sites until 2am. This has been a grand diverion and possibly the road less taken, and knowing how way leads on to way...me thinks I shall be forever changed.

Thanks to all of you, we are in a circle of experience in a moment of time and history and that is for a REASON.

That's it, the word I keep repeating over and over again when describing this experience. I am so very thankful, and I am so grateful for the opportunity to meet others interested in taking part in the future of public radio. You guys are amazing, talented people and I am very honored to have my entry played side by side all of yours. It all makes me realize that I'm on the right path, for now.

This one outlet has such a force of possibility. That is POWERFUL to me and I think we all should own it!

This Quest has brought my moribund creativity and "dare to be dumb" personality back to life. I feel great! I feel alive! I feel like dancing! I...better close the shades.

the coincidental occurrence of events and especially psychic events (as similar thoughts in widely separated persons or a mental image of an unexpected event before it happens) that seem related but are not explained by conventional mechanisms of causality —used especially in the psychology of C. G. Jung.

The way so many of us have come together from different parts of the country, different stages of our lives, different ages and backgrounds, yet found so much in common - that is not coincidence. It is synchronicity, at least to me. And I suspect that a handful of the connections that I've made here may last a lifetime.

That would be have to be it for me! It's been exciting, fun, and challenging, too- but I love the word exhilarate, so I went with that.

So many adjectives work, for good and for ill, but nervewracking, IMO, is the best and most accurate.
