The Quest of 10

Today ten people will receive phone calls that will officially make it the greatest Monday of their professional working lives. For the other 1,400 plus people who entered the contest it will just be "another case of the Mondays,"... except on this Monday, everyone will wait for their phone to ring and be disappointed when their cell phone screen says "MOM" and not "TERRY GROSS."

And so the "Quest of 10" begins. Ten communicators competing in a quest that aims to find a new great American voice.
Whoever you are... I hope you tell great stories. I hope NPR needs you as much as you need this opportunity.

Yes, may we all shout, "if not me than someone I really liked!"

And someone who needs this shot. Yes YES...not the gazillionaire winning the lottery.

But may it be like the 10 folks at the bread factory chipping in on one ticket, or the nuns for the orphanage, or like the Democrats getting a strong enough candidate to actually win this time.

Ahh, and may all your dreams come true Reid and what time is it where you live? It's 11:36 pm here and I told myself to go to bed at 10.

Ok, man if we have to go cold turkey from this sweet passion of PRX we have each other. Hang in there bro. Now where did I put the expresso maker?
