I hear that Mavis is busy writing her PRTQ memoirs, excellent writer that she is. I must admit, however, I got that information from my cats. Much of what they tell me turns out to be incorrect. So who knows?

Jim, I applaud your efforts to engage some of the former patrons of this site in an element of dialog.

It's admirable. Your faith is truly inspiring.

But I fear I must be the one to inform you, that although there are a few survivors running around, most have met the following fates:

A number who did not willingly partake in carousel, tried to find sanctuary but have been encased in ice by a strange chrome plated robot right outside the site's walls... others voluntarily entered stasis chambers and were launched aboard a space ship to form a colony of supermen led by the infamous Khan Noonien Singh (who looks suspiciously like well-known and respected Ricardo Montalbán of stage and screen), free from the restrictive tyranny and unfair persecution after the Eugenics wars... still others have moved and left no forwarding address, entered the witness relocation program or have been buried in the valley of the kings after suitable preparation by ancient Egyptian priests.

But that's not all. Another portion have either done the Jack Kerouac thing, the Timothy Leary thing or followed in the footsteps of the great General MacArthur... (though some of them might 'return' after a proper fading has completed... it's been known to happen sometimes)

As for the rest...

[hands Jim a shotgun and some ammo]

...you might need this, the rest are zombies.

Submitted by Jim Barfuss on July 12, 2007 - 5:58pm.

she is "on assignment". Or did she say on consignment? Or realignment? Or battling a giant? One of those, I think. The connection was kind of fuzzy.

Submitted by chadbullock on July 12, 2007 - 5:59pm.

maybe she is on assignment for the realignment of the consignment of the union for battling giants?

But I'm happy to see you, Miss Wendy. How goes it? Sorry I missed your radio show on Friday. I had kid stuff keeping me busy. What's new with you?

Submitted by Wendy Allyn on July 9, 2007 - 10:41pm.

First - sorry you missed the show. I talked right to you on-air hoping you were out there. It's OK, it makes for great radio even if ye missed it. I look forward to the day you send in a request so I can do it then!

Just finished my PRTQ voting, wanted to think before I clicked. Needless to say I found this voting very different.

I helped us get our 2nd session campers all signed in yesterday at CPC. Man there is nothing like those kids faces on the day they're coming to camp! Hey, you might dig our Co-op, we're nation wide; www.circlepinescenter.org our 2nd session of summer camp is focused on peace. 3rd is Art. It's amazingly beautiful, the people are beautiful, I love it. I lived there on work exchange for about a year back in 2005.

One last thing - is your husband out fighting those bad fires out west? Marcille & I have held you & your family in our thoughts in the case he is.

Best to you my Alaskan friend.

Until Again,

-W.

That post made me feel so nice!
My husband is fighting fires, but in Western Alaska, not the Western US. We had a slow start to the season, but now lightning is striking and the state is burning up.
I am going to try again and listen on Friday. I have my request all ready to go. Cheers to you and yours.
PS I will check out that camp link. Peace and art? It doesn't get better than that.

Submitted by Wendy Allyn on July 9, 2007 - 10:28pm.

Been missing ya Mavis. And wondering what the heck you're doin' with yerself.

If you're still working at summer camp I know why you're really busy. I got asked to work at my camp 'cuz we're short on staff. It is hard to find people who want to work long hours for little pay.

Know that we miss ya here at your own lil' Italy Ms. Mavis.

Until Again,

-W.

back in nebraska, before nebraska bands were famous, (as my dad now assures me they are), there was a band that was rumoured to have a no. 1 hit in italy,
though no one in nebraska really paid them any mind. i think this thread is my italy.

Most of the Mavisites here are of the Afternoon or Evening sects. I'm glad there are now three sects represented.
Holy Trinity, Batman! It always bugged me that there only seemed to be an Out sect and an In sect.

Submitted by dknuckey on June 18, 2007 - 9:16pm.

So I had to move my Mavis alter to nose height so I could stop the supplicating.

why is 5A so perfectly fine when one arrives at it from the all-night and so painful when arrived at from the so-called night of rest?
