You know, there are ninja clubs at many big universities now. I met a kid from Brown last summer who was in one. I can't tell you who ... it's top secret. But, he told us the club would get together and pretend to stalk enemies and pretend-fight. It was pretty funny. A girl from the student paper asked to do a story. So, they set up a secret meet-up spot, and she had to be blindfolded while doing the interview!

You know, when I was a teenager I was really into the whole ninja thing... I knew how to walk silently through tall grass or over a twiggy, rocky forest floor... I could hit a bullseye with a throwing star from 12 feet away (couldn‘t practice from any further away because my room wasn‘t that big). I could use nunchaku without conking myself on the head (THAT took some practice), though I never did quite master the art of grabbing a spinning throwing knife out of the air. Yeah, I was an odd kid. I guess that‘s what my parents get for not buying me a Nintendo like Chad‘s ;)

Thanks for the nostalgia!
