The leaves have just started to turn. No snow or ice chunks yet, but you're all welcome to come up for a visit and beat the heat. Is September really that hot in the south by southeast? Maybe I should come visit you.
Glad to see you both still lurking, Rich and Chad.

We're nearly in September - is anyone feeling cooler yet? I read somewhere that the last plywood igloo was (or is to be) dismantled in Canada. It was some kind of diner or cafe... Apparently an office building will be put in it's place.

It'd be cool if they put the old igloo on top.

is no cooler here : (
I think it might actually be getting hotter!!

Submitted by RFrohlich on August 30, 2007 - 2:36pm.

Clouds and thunderstorms have made this summer REALLY mild. I think we've had only a handful of 100 degree days.

Today's only 91... That's pretty sweet for the end of August in Texas.

Still not cold enough to build an igloo though.

Submitted by chadbullock on August 30, 2007 - 2:40pm.

no igloo building for a while I'm afraid

Submitted by RFrohlich on August 30, 2007 - 3:27pm.

Unless the igloo was made from blocks of Styrofoam. Or maybe freeze dried ice cream (that'd be groovy .. for a short while anyway.)

Are zombies repulsed by ice cream? If so, what flavor keeps them away best. I would think something like snicker doodle flavored ice cream would do the trick.

Submitted by chadbullock on August 31, 2007 - 11:07am.

possibly....but maybe butter pecan would do the trick? but either way you should scrap that idea because an IGLOO made of ice cream will only be eaten up by me while I'm sitting around PRTQ bored as hell!

Submitted by RFrohlich on August 31, 2007 - 1:22pm.

Well... then half butter pecan and the other half double dutch chocolate.

Imagine how much effort and money it would take to construct on in freeze dried icecream.

And to think that all the wealthy people like Britney and Michael and J.K. don't take advantage of such an obvious, yet rewarding luxury.

That's something we could all support.

Submitted by kagallaher on September 1, 2007 - 8:01pm.

I've had freeze dried ice cream. But then, why would I remember that? Kinda makes me go hmmm...... Oh, yeah, something about 8 miles all uphill and I'm starving.
I only wish I got DSL sooner.

Submitted by chadbullock on August 8, 2007 - 3:25pm.

its only 100 degress outside...so I figured I'd hang out at the IGLOO a little bit and cool off!

Submitted by chadbullock on July 25, 2007 - 4:17pm.

where its cooler!
wheres the beer?

Submitted by Theresa Bakker on July 26, 2007 - 11:30am.

Things have been warming up here at the igloo. Summer's already stayed a full week longer than normal. We're all outside, tanning and wiping the sweat off our beers.
How's life at the other end of the country? BTW, what do you all use for temporary shelter in NC?

Submitted by chadbullock on July 26, 2007 - 11:31am.

temporary shelter??? like a cardboard box?

Submitted by Theresa Bakker on July 26, 2007 - 11:37am.

No matter what Texas says.

Now, some of my favorite PRTQ'ers are from Texas, so I don't mean nothing by that.

Submitted by chadbullock on July 12, 2007 - 5:51pm.

should tame some of those polar bears for our person defense!

Submitted by Theresa Bakker on July 12, 2007 - 9:34pm.

They were moving south. Global warming and all. Maybe they'll take up residence in your hood. It's all part of the National Zombie Defense strategy.

Submitted by chadbullock on July 12, 2007 - 9:39pm.

zombies had no sence of feeling such as warmth and cold?? maybe they are evolving?? I must check the nation department of the research and bio chemistry of the present day zombie?

To keep track of!
At least this igloo is self-cleaning. The arctic winds keep blowing all the dirt out.
