This is how I feel about Governor John Lynch proposing a constitutional amendment for educational funding.

I see people with 40, 50 comments...let's hear what you have to say!

I like your delivery. Your crisp cadence is energizing, not a downer like the monotone crowd. I like that you're doing this to more to give (ideas, opinions, food for thought), than to receive (attention). I think that's very "hosty" of you.

Thank you!

Definitely hosty, and you transition between topics really smoothly. As someone downthread already mentioned, you'd likely get a big response from both proponents and opponents of your views, which is great. One minor constructive comment: at the beginning of the piece you inject a little laugh a couple of times, and I found it a bit distracting - it seems kind of incongruous, even if it's intended to underscore your disapproval of the Governor's proposal (your words make your feelings clear enough on their own). But later in the piece, that laugh goes away without any loss of conversational congeniality and you really hit your stride, so I liked the second part a lot better. It might be just me, but I thought I'd point it out.

Thanks, I debated about the chuckles at the beginning. The second one actually bugged me but I left it in. I thought in the spirit of "hostiness" it would draw in a couple more people.

Heh. Ironically, after I posted this feedback, I got similar constructive criticism on my own piece. I did the same thing as you - put in a little laughter to make it seem more hosty and accessible. Ah well, now I know. And hopefully it won't be a deal-killer for either of us! Best of luck!

Hopefully it will work for both of us!

Good luck!

Provocative topic. We are dealing with the slots issue here in Maryland. Your opinion comes through loud and clear. Would you be able to listen to opposing views?

Good Luck!

I will always listen to opposing views! Of course mine is the right one......just kidding...but heck that would get you to call in wouldn't it?

I like his voice, his manner of speaking. I would listen to his show...I would say his "hostiness" is huge!

I like this guy's voice. I Dislike this guy's political opinions; and I Really Dislike the assurance with which he projects them, the implied challenge you can hear in his delivery. It makes me want to PICK UP THE PHONE, CALL HIS RADIO SHOW, AND SET HIM STRAIGHT.

Which is, of course, the whole point of the contest. Nice work. Good luck.

Thanks, that's what talk radio is all about, starting a conversation and getting people to call in to voice their opinion, and I have plenty..lol!

Now all I need is a radio show!!

Good strong commentary. Tight, to the point, with suggested alternatives. Punchy reading!

That's a good thing right? :)
