the GRAVEYARD
almost pulled the trigger on one, but ´twas just my own reflection in the mirror. ah, now fallen from the ptrq of the living, I´ll roam this dark crypt for all eternity (well, okay, I suppose my mindless wandering will be punctuated by stops at the bar now and again to see who´ll buy a stiff a stiff one)
Is there any truth to the rumor that all these graves will need to be moved across the site so they can put a parking lot here?
I'd like to see that one...
"PERMIT 76-12212 - TRANSFERRING GRAVES FROM ONE LOCATION TO ANOTHER FOR THE PURPOSE OF MAKING A PARKING LOT"
I'm sure a lot of hospitals would like that one... you ever notice how many graveyards are right next to hospitals. Administrators would probably give their own grandmother for the chance to pave it over... and have the "Easy Rest Memorial Parking Lot"...
Unfortunately you might get drivers confused where they can park, because in respect to the families, all the concrete bumpers could have names on them.
But then you can tell them, "Oh, those aren't reserved spaces... those are the names of the people who used to be here"...

...and I just noticed the Talent Quest button no longer appears on the prx.org home page. I wonder why?
That's where! Jeez where do you guys get all this time? I'm going six ways from Sunday just to get all my blog posts up. But friends, I can see the light at the end of the tunnel.
Onward...toward the twinkie aisle....
I guess I'll chill here at the graveyard and eat a bag of chips....
You guys would be national public radio stars. Wait, that didn't come out right. You guys are funny. You make zombies funny and that's talent.
Thanks for the laughs. Have a great weekend!
and so are killer ninja's...but were just freedom fights for the cause! I dont think NPR is ready for us quite yet...once they are really ready for something different perhaps they will give me and Rich our own show?? who knows?
Did you ever hear that old saw about Alaskan men? The odds are good, but the goods are odd.
You'd rock Alaska. There's something to keep you warm at night.
In response to that last post - I can hardly keep from raising my right eyebrow in an overly-inquisitive manner.
(clears throat - high pitched oscillation)
Scanner indicates this sector is finally cleared of zombies and ninjas... where to next Chad?
(scanner put away - opens up ration bar and grabs a hip flask)
By the way - did anyone check out those crazy flash games I posted links to?
I've only gotten 114 zombies on the De-animator game before they ate my brains.
Those smelly undead motherless son's of jackals!!! I'll get them yet!
-Rich
I did try my hand at popping a cap or two in those zombies, but I lasted no more than a minute each round. It's like playing chess against one of those 12 yr. old prodigies; hopeless, just hopeless.
I'd do almost anything, Rich. I fear I'm just a nattering nabob to you.
No flash games for this gal, not just yet. First a couple of deadlines to meet (not the undead, just the lined-dead), then maybe there will be time to play. A girl can only handle so many vices in one day.
No kidding - going to the office in a few minutes to work on an insane project that is... well... insane. Not quite as bad as claiming your steamship is unsinkable... or hoping the Maginot Line would protect France from invasion - but pretty darned close (if only I can depend on some of my co-workers to help in the next week). Meantime - I have no weekend.
Rich
Sorry to hear about the insanity that is your project. Carry on and maybe there will be time for a beer. Unless you're still on painkillers for that ankle. Good luck.
PS One deadline down, one to go.
Glad to see I'm not the only one who's home tending to work on this Saturday evening. Here in Austin it seems like the whole city's abuzz with party-going, while I sit home tending to must-do paperwork. Keep plugging away at it, Theresa!
It's nice to have a 'safe place' when the world is getting gobbled up by ruthless martial artists and decaying animated corpses.

'cept we're not in Alaska... we're in a graveyard.
... unless you've figured out how to go from one graveyard to the next via some kind of hyper-dimensional mega-quantum proto-matter warp-transfer thingy...
Makes sense... every town's got at least one grave yard. Creepy but consistent.

down my dream Rich!!! now that Im back in reality, I guess we will be sleeping with the corpses...not exactly what I had in mind...but wait this one is still a little warm...
