[Rebecca] Art of the Worst Interview Ever!

You can't watch, but you can't not watch, like a car accident or the movie Showgirls. After hearing the seven awesome interviews here on the Public Radio Talent Quest, prepare yourself for Merry Miller conducting the absolute worst interview ever!

My favorite part is at the end when Merry says "NBC.com" when she's actually on ABC. You can hear ever so faintly in the background the tortured scream of someone who is possibly about to lose his job over this travesty.

If you enjoyed that, check out this follow-up: an interview with Merry where she gets a chance to redeem herself. She doesn't (sorry to ruin it for you).

That clip also reveals that you can audition to host the show Merry was on by sending clips to ABC. Start practicing staring at the camera while gaping!

is that as awful as Merry was, Holly Hunter was awful, too. And that didn't seem to be entirely Merry's fault.

The questions she threw at her were so off that Hunter didn't know what the hell to answer. And she was so unprofessional that Hunter had disdain before she even got to answer the first question. She just wanted to get off the set. The interviewer has to bring the subject along, make the interviewee comfortable, establish a rapport. Hunter did the best she could.

It's quite a skill to fawn that much while asking the most inane questions ever. I was waiting for her to ask "what's your favorite color?"

Dyareckon NBC.com wants her resume, because I assume ABC.com has shown her the door.

Nice little shimmy at the end, too.
