"I got the music in me..."

And so much more. What topics light your candle?

Let's talk about it!

Personable, intelligent, and a soothing tone – good luck. I’ll save my dime, you’ve convinced me.

Glad to hear your piece, both the music and the voice. Honest and clear, I like how you emphasized your talents.

Thanks for making this Talent Quest work.

LOVE that voice. I suspect you wear bowties a lot. I have never been to Iowa, but I did choreograph "Music Man" a few years ago, so I feel like I know you. Great job!

I've always wanted to play "Harold Hill" on stage. Alas, it seems but a faint prospect. I shall take comfort in the hope that I am "sadder but wiser."

A soothing voice with knowledge in many fields. Would make a great host!

A very effective promotional piece. This clarinet player really likes that composition!

Nice composition! But you're NOT open to discussing entertainment??? Why not?

Submitted by dresnick on May 15, 2007 - 7:44pm.

I made the "entertainment" comment because many think that entertainment news is an update on Paris Hilton or some other such nonsense. Geraldo's got it covered! But I would definitely like to host a show in the "arts and entertainment" arena.

So you're clearly a Renaissance man. Good luck!

David - this was a very effective piece. Your personality came across crystal clear, and you've got a great voice. Definitely the sort of person I'd love to sit down and chat with. I hope you go far!

Thanks, Dr. R. This is high praise indeed... 'specially coming from someone with a Harvard Ph.D. in chemical physics! I really appreciate your encouragement.

David, I think you took a very attention-getting approach to leading into your discussion of yourself. And identifying the musical composition as yours - that was the icing on the cake.

I suspect I'd enjoy meeting you at a cocktail party - the kind where everyone was just making insignificant chit-chat, and where I usually find myself frustrated because nobody really wants to 'talk.' You sound like you'd be that kind of party's saving grace - at least in my eyes.

Thank you, Linda. I love turning chit-chat into something meatier. Maybe we'll meet at a party and turn banter into brainstorm. BTW, I enjoyed the zeitgeist of your piece very much. The tides would be turnin' at your House by the Sea.

I would be interested in listening to this show. You sound distinguished, like Alec Baldwin! (He's in entertainment, so you probably won't talk about him.) I like the music a lot as well.

You're very kind... your papa must be proud!

LOVE the music! I'm glad you said it was yours early on instead of saving it until the music was over.
