You could be the next great Radio Host. Stay the course. Whether you win or lose this contest is not a judgement of your path. No matter what always follow your dreams and never let discouragement be an obstacle. With out dreams reality can be mundane. I like your idea. Keep on rockin'

Its very cool to just go off-script and just talk and put yourself out there! Your voice has a definite quality, but I echo some of the other comments that I would rather have heard you do something more with your voice, read ANYTHING, any kind of piece, than simply to talk about yourself, although I do think you did a great job of getting us to know you!
Cheers to that, and good luck to you!

I appreciate the pieces that some of the pro's have put on here. So much that I've even followed them to their podcasts and radio shows and subscribed to them. (doouuuh- I hate it when I get sucked in!) But I really love hearing from the "person" inside the piece.
Best of luck to you here and in your graphics future as well.

I didn't read from a script and pretty much just stated my mind. Honestly I didn't expect to do well, and I just tried my best.
As for content, yeah... its hard to talk about one's self without one growing bored for 2 or 3 minutes. So... I tried.
Thanks again for the great comments!
I'm with Jay, as soon as you said your first "hey there!" I instantly liked you. Note the above comments about content, if you had a few more things to say I would have been hooked hooked hooked.
You have a delightfully quirky voice--akin in many ways to a more masculine version of Sarah Vowell. I agree that I lost interest toward the end, but not because I tired of the voice. You can carry radio only so far without content, and I'd be interested in listening to you read from a script or discuss material more specific in its content.
Good luck. Much fun.
Jay
Thank you.
Honestly, I believe myself to be too much of a nervous type to go by script. But.. I can probably over come such a thing with a little work.

Your message brought a question to mind. Is talking about entertainment an entertainment show or a talk show?
Steve
Ultimately the paradoxes of life make fools of us all. So if we would be wise we should study life's paradoxes and confront our abject foolishness head on.
Your message brought a question to mind. Is talking about entertainment an entertainment show or a talk show? -
Hmm, that IS a good question. You could consider it both in many ways. If you have someone who's famous who's in the entertainment business come on, the show dramatically changes into a talk show. But when you are there by yourself and discuss entertainment, is it a entertainment show or a talk show or possibly both.
So.. honestly. I believe it can be both.
I see your one of the few who followed the rules and presented yourself as
"yourself" and not the best host the world has ever seen like so many of the others....hope you have good luck!
It tailed off a little at the end, but I did get the sense of a real person.
