Fiona MacNeill - Excerpts from Motif Radio, art podcast supreme
Motif Radio is a little podcast that I started up a year ago in order to explore themes and issues in contemporary art and culture. On a monthly basis I showcase new audio artworks, make jokes and engage in surreal behaviour. http://motifradio.libsyn.com
Best of luck to you in this Quest.
Steve
I’ve come to see that the ultimate source of all human anguish is that we are finite beings sentient of infinity.
That phrase really caught me! Seems that most artists have to at least start out that way, eh? I think you did a Really Good job! Good luck in the Quest!

If everybody did everything the same way, life would be incredibly boring. -Wendy Allyn
Great voice, interesting concept. Good luck Fiona.
Nice production and idea. I was a bit confused, because I wasn't expecting there to be an editing cut in the middle. Were all the clips from the same podcast?
When you're making your podcast, do you always make it about a genre of art that you're already involved in? In the clip, we didn't get to hear your perspective on the art and your art, just a bit of your hostiness.
Also, I just loved the way you said "double lives"--it totally rolled over your tongue and into our ears.
Yep all the excerpts were from the same podcast episode. It was hard to slice and dice it because my show features experimental musical links between each section of speech, the time frame allowed wouldn't let me do them justice.
I quite often cover genres of art and techniques that I know very little about and have to learn about for the show.
In answer to your question about my perspective on art. That segment was actually all about me and my approach and experience as an immigrant artist.
Thank you for the awesome comment about, the "double-lives" thing, that was brill.
Cheers!
