Excellente, Neil! Loved it and you got 5 *s from me! Especially liked your opening -- being drilled with Spanish vocabulary. Best of luck -- Sally Coenen

The time you enjoy wasting is not wasted time. - Bertrand Russell
Neal,
This was a wonderful piece. Funny, honest, and thought-provoking. You have a great radio voice in terms of timbre, but what makes your voice truly rise above the others is the the capital T-Truth behind your words.
Go get 'em!
You'd be a great new voice on public radio. Good luck.

Hey Rex! Thanks so much for the encouragement -- I really think the solutions to our significant problems have to be based on realiTy, as you say -- and a Truthfulness that seems largely lacking nowadays.
We both are California transplants! I was born in Needles and raised in Pasadena....
Your entry is outstanding, and the genuine regard some of your old friends have for you is very telling...
Good Luck!!
Neal
Yes, we need a lot more truth nowadays. Thank you for acknowledging the elephant in the living room. You have a great topic and, as a physician, an interesting perspective on it. This search has led to talent . . . yours!
Best of luck.
Mary
Here's a thank you note for your provocative entry. I lived in Athens for over 10 years. I miss my health care providers there --Dr. Kevin, Dr. Meg, Dr. Hamrick. This a thank you note to them too.
Take a deep breath and smell the sweet honeysuckle in the night air for me. I also miss the springtime.
...is anything but common, so too is truth a too rare commodity.
Good job! You're, ahem, just what the doctor ordered.

You're the first person I thought to write a thank-you to.
You sounded fantastic.
I'm betting your a fan of John Stossel, another champion of Truth.
If you ever want to drive down 316 and come to one of my Philosophy Cafes, let me know.

I believe in philosophic conversation, and I believe you should believe in it too.
I liked this entry a lot. You have a very honest voice that makes for very easy listening. If I came across it on the radio, I would definitely believe you were telling the truth .
thanks for the work you do...
I might recognize you as an AIR member...
good luck
Nannette
Nannette -- thanks for the feedback -- my wife Pat and I are both AIR members. What a great group!
Neal
I really enjoyed your voice and you pull the audience in from the start. Sounds like someone I would like to listen to!
Emily -- thanks for the kind words. Your piece is really excellent -- cleverly worded, strongly voiced, lots of personality. Is the Michael Bolton revelation true?
Anyway -- good luck with the rest of the quest.
Neal
