Message Board Guidelines

Hi all,

To keep our Message Board an open, helpful, and interesting place we've come up with some fairly standard guidelines. If our admin selves believe a post or topic does not follow the guidelines we may remove it, and if any participants repeatedly cross the line we may disable their accounts.

Stay on topic.
If you want to start a new discussion, post a new forum topic. Please don't make repetitive or irrelevant posts that don't move the discussion along.

Double-check what you've written before you post it.
Typos happen to the best of us, but the point you're trying to make will be more effective if you minimize bad spelling, grammar, and punctuation. Avoid writing in all caps--it makes your text seem like you're shouting.

Treat your fellow posters with respect.
If you disagree with someone, respectfully engage the substance of their argument. Don't harass other members or participate in personal attacks. Hateful speech against anyone's race, gender, religion, national origin, physical or mental disability, sexual orientation, or age is a really big no-no.

Don't sell or promote stuff.
We all get enough spam in our email already. Only link to or discuss a website or venture if it's relevant to the discussion.
