A Pleasure Activist

I host the weekly radio program "Soul Talk" on KOOP,Austin 91.7 FM . The show is about integrated spirituality from the personal to civic spheres. This a clip from my conversation with Charla Hathaway, owner of "Body Joy." She is a certified Sexological Bodyworker, and a "pleasure activist."

I just love your voice, Chuck, and how you explore such interesting subjects so easily and openly... such as the arc from sexuality to spirituality.

Great job!

Cheers,

This program may be better suited for satellite or Podcast, although public radio may well have an open spot in the "late night" lineup! You have a smooth, cool vibe in your voice that I enjoyed and you came across as thoughtful and intelligent.

i think that there is more focus on sex.. and not sexuality.. or maybe a perverse understanding..

we don't take time to soul-search our sexuality.. we just get programed with sex..

my spirituality.. includes sexuality.. it's a big part.. and damn if you bring it up and try and talk about it..

good job soultalker!

you should have the "let talk about Sex baby" song playing under your bit...thanks for bringing up such an under-discussed topic...our culture really doesn't talk about sex enough.

I was intrigued by many things in your entry - and I hope you won't take this the wrong way, but figuring out your gender was part of it! I assumed you were male, but at times I wasn't sure, and I finally had to google you to uncover the truth. Your interview made many valid points about what's acceptable on the radio and what's not (and the love and war comparison was very effective). I also applaud that you do Soul Talk in addition to your other 'job' - yoUU go Soultalker!
