New to Radio?

Molly has already posted a ton of extremely useful links, but if you still find yourself not knowing where to start, I have a suggestion:

"Radio: An Illustrated Guide". A really simple, straightforward instructional comic book covering pretty much everything you need to know, written by the good folks over at This American Life. And it's only 5 bucks!

Remember, this forum is one of the few places in the world where radio novices rub shoulders with veterans who have been making the public radio you've been listening to for the past 30-odd years.

If you fall into the former category, some of this might seem a little overwhelming or confusing, but don't worry! The reason you come here is because you have a gift, not because you know industry lingo or are an audio editing genius.

It helps to do your homework though.
