You have an ecletic set of cultural taste buds. That would make you very hosty indeed. You also have a mellow peaceful voice that's goes down easy.
Good luck.

Thanks.

And your proposed direction for your show sounds like a winner! Very nice entry!
People like us, who get a DVD or record home, and, after a few minutes spent reading the liner notes, say to themselves, "that's it?" People who are disappointed when there isn't enough information. I know exactly how you feel. You seem to have an even wider base, with the Orson Welles facts it appears you know a lot about their personal lives and habits as well, which IS interesting!
I'd love to hear what you could be like given the right format! A fine entry, your personality and interests are laid plain!
Good luck to you. Try mine?

Never saw it, but I feel that you would be able to give an accurate description as I sit back and enjoy some cold beer and listen to your show. Nice demo.
Thanks for listening!

Your voice made me feel as if it was only the two of us. Nice. Good Luck!
I think our wives would kill themselves from the endless nerdy tv & movie talk. Kindred spirits mayhaps? Nice entry.

I mean with such an immense well of knowledge to drink from every day they are certainly drunk with love or I mean the knowledge of pop-culture surrounding the topic of love.
Probably they would just leave you two alone in a room and go bowling or something.
I like to think that as a host, we would have a friend in you... I'm thinking of a current program idea where a question is posed, from a member of the listeners, ie. ("Why is the sky blue"?). You respond with your multiplicity of guesses ("I don't know why, but I'm sure someone does.." ) and hosting the responses from the listener-ship, ("The sky is blue because the atmosphere reflects the color of your eyes".... Or, whatever!) This is where I think you might do well with all your varied interests. Good Luck! Nice demeanor!

Your entry was pretty good. I really like your sense of humor and your array of talent you obviously have. You also tend to have a thirst for knowledge and an eclectic taste in all kinds of art. I really like your audio, and I wish you all the best.
LOVE your voice - I can listen to you for hours!
...a real human being, an Everyman host who's not afraid to pop his P's in his enthusiastic, pell-mell delivery style. Alex, I think your fascination with the esoteric details of pop culture will serve you well in life and in this Quest if you are anointed as one of the Terrific Ten. You were more real by far than many entrants I've heard with much more experience, and I'm glad I made your acquaintance in this way. I had fun hearing you have fun. Good luck!

Your voice has a wonderful quality about it. It sucks you in....in a good way. Good luck to you---you can easily get a show no matter what!
Check out my entry...certainly not the same as yours, but hopefully you'll like my take on this contest.

Ok, we all know why you're entering this contest, so you don't have to tell us. Actually on that note, remember that old adage they teach you in grade school writing: "show don't tell"? That's what I kept thinking while listening your demo. I loved the Orson Wells tidbit and the image of your wife burping your kid and rolling her eyes, but if you're so obsessed with film and tv, why not *show* us by making a piece demonstrating the depth of your obsession rather than talking about how you like to talk about the media? Why not do 2 minutes on who was a better tv president? That sounds like a good show. It does sound like you're obsessed, and I think I could probably listen to you talk about film and tv if you had a lot of good anecdotes and observations, but I need to hear more to know that that's what you've got before I'd feel good about forking over actual air time.
Thank you for your detailed comments. If I make it beyond this first round, your suggestions really hold merit with what I want the show to be like!
I like that you have a fresh perspective to the insanity of the media world. It's also nice to know that you have an open mind and open forum for this.
Wish you ALL the BESTEST luck in this.
