I love my job, and here's why

It's not just that I enjoy it. Maybe I enjoy it too much. Give me a listen. I'll tell you all about it.

I like what you did with your two minutes. Nice showcasing of your hosting skills and excellent mixing of questions and guest presence. It sounded good. Thanks for keeping Cleveland informed. Every city needs someone like you.

It is always refreshing to hear about someone who loves what they do. In this case, you're already a host!

Good job!

Too good to hide in school. Their loss, our gain. I live just across the lake (mouth of the Detroit River), but too far to hear. Pity.

Once a teacher always a teacher (I knew you still were). Excellent and thought provoking work; if you don't love your job as much as this guy it may be time to re-think things... I know I am!

The voice is friendly, natural and real, not the robotic news anchor-type voice that makes me zone out. Yours is more like Ira Glass (without the stutter) -- curious, thoughtful, smart. I'm drawn to your type of voice and personality, as evidenced by my near obsession with Terry Gross, and to a lesser extent, Nic Harcourt. I'd listen to your show for sure -- as long as it didn't conflict with Fresh Air. Good luck!

This is one of the best ones yet. The production/edting was on point...even if it isn't a factor in the vote. The voice and perspectives you illustrated were very inviting and revealing.
I really liked this entry, Dan.
All bset to you...

I'm a long ways away from Mr. Moulthrop, but I tune in on the web when I can. Michael Krasny, watch out, Dan Molthrop is movign on in! Ira Flato has nothing to worry about because his name is so cool ; )

Dan, When you take over the world, will you hire me? Keep me posted on the contest.

Yes. I really liked this. I, too, like to think of myself as a teacher, and I am so glad you brought that up. Also, the bit about civility. That is so important. Letting people go off about their own agendas without restraint doesn't do anybody any good. It is when the two, or more, opposing sides civilly talk to each other, and listen, that we get somewhere. I am so pleased you entered this contest. I really would like to hear you as America's next top public radio star!
