"I Heart Public Radio"

There's no doubt why I'm here. I want to celebrate Public Radio and all it has to offer in the ultimate way, hosting.

Pitch perfect for NPR. Good luck!

Good luck, Shelly! I read your bio and it sounds like you have some really good ideas.

Hi Shelly
Wow, you said a lot in only a minute and thirty seconds. I like your voice, very full and resonant. Do you sing?
I voted for you just now, so that is my part in how did you say it, helping a girl get her radio show? Something like that. Good luck. Hope to hear you again.

You should read children's books on tape. Very soothing and great attitude!

Everytime I come listen to entries, yours is the one that always makes me smile, in fact, laugh! Here's hoping you make it to round 2. You deserve it and we are rooting for you! You are the best thing that's happened to public radio in my book! You've got "hostiness." Get your radio on, Shelly!

I liked your opener and closer very much. What came in between wasn't bad either. Honest, clear and direct; nice job.

Shelly, you sound comfortable and smart. But...though you say you want to reinvent public radio, and I'm all for that, at least in this brief bit you don't convince me that you're the talent who will make that happen. Thanks....

Three cheers for this topic! I think we all agree that Public Radio is about our last hope, in America, for fair and accurate reporting, not to mention comfort and entertainment throughout the week! I think there's room for it to expand into a wider range of programs, but you have to respect them as they are, too!
Great voice, you definitely deserve to make the cut!

Shelly,

I listened to about 60 other contestants before I got to you but you have it, hands down. I hope everyone recognizes the talent, passion, voice, enthusiasm and imagination that you will bring to public radio when you win!

Even though I've been accused of being an NPR nerd, you are the reason I even pledge to my local affiliate.
As long as you're around, I will support NPR.
Thanks for keeping things fun and for your tireless and enthusiastic support of indie artists. The fun shows you've put together have been so great!

PRX judges, you're sitting on a gold mine with this one.
