People do seem to be particularly willing to talk while in a car. Do you think it is because they don't have to look at each other ?

Your entry sounded to me a lot like something I'd hear on NPR during the afternoon. The only thing I might fault it for is actual content, but there are a lot of similar such items actually on NPR.
