Schools Across A Spectrum

Public schools vary widely and yet their funding and safety often get legislated and assessed as though they were homogenous. Here, a grammar school pupil and a voc-tech high student describe where they feel safe and uncomfortable in their schools and what they’d like to change.

You have a really nice interviewing style -- particularly good at getting kids to talk. This is a talent. I was an education reporter, and I know how hard it can be to get kids to give up more than monosyllabic answers. It's a skill. And you've got it. Good job. I'd really like to hear a full program dedicated to this topic.

Hello there.

Important topic. Refreshing to hear from youngsters. I liked the way you made the interviewees comfortable. Your voice is clear, lively and quick (but not too quick) a nice contrast with the other voices.

I look forward to hearing more from you...

Amy GREAT JOB!!! When you try to expose the truth and use thought to do it an angle is not necessary. Just keep doing what you're doing IT WORKS!!! Let your instincts and your curiosity to find the truth guide your way and as you did in this piece you will do in everything. Never sell out just to find an angle afterall angels of light don't need angles to work from.

Seemed like you really got the kids talking, which was nice. You're obviously a good reporter. Also well produced. But I wanted to hear more about you and what you're about. Your "angle" if you will.
