That crashing noise? It's the kid upstairs spilling his Legos out on the floor.

You have an excellent radio voice - warm, inviting, clear and genuine. I could listen to you all day long! Hope they give you a radio show.

I can easily imagine you on public radio: you have the perfect voice, and your storytelling is top notch! Love it.

Thanks! I do love to weave a good story.
This weekend I told my neighbors that I had used their kids for material. Thankfully, they loved it!

I think they could set you up for a serise show.
first instalment: meet the neighborhood, second: she figures out how she wants to get pregnant, next she starts to act on the plan when.... she meets a guy that just might foil her plans... then it goes from there. she decides to go with her orignal ides but still date the dude... the story seems to write itself.... its going to go from radio to a big time movie to a sindicated tv show....

very cool

Nicely done! I agree, great NPR voice. Would love to hear more detailed stories of the interaction with the kids and how you felt about it.

Thanks for listening to my entry and leaving that nice comment! I remember listening to your entry a whlie ago and loving it. At the time I was in listen and vote mode, and wasn't leaving comments on anyone's entry. But I have since changed so I listened to your clip again and loved it again! Your mommy karma has got to be through the roof!

It was a warm and engaging story. I want to here more of what she has to say to see where things would go.

A truly engaging story, full of warmth, humor, and personality. Makes one ask: "Is this a great country, or what?" Liked the delivery, too. It was well paced and modulated, but didn't feel forced. Very NPR.

...so very happy to know that it didn't sound forced.

(Kids can see through that kind of thing, you know!)

Wonderful, engaging personality and voice. The narrative was funny and interesting and didn't feel forced. The reader felt very down-to-earth and relatable. Would love to hear more...

Maggie. This was funny and I could relate to it. I, too, am a single woman surrounded by children. Lots of children in the neighborhood, and I'm a block away from an elementary school. Oh, and I have a lab cross puppy. It's a child-magnet. Thge kids come into my garden, they help me choose where to plant things. They play with my dog. They tell me about their baseball practice, ... Their parents keep telling me, "You can send them home anytime, you know ..." Don't know if I should take that as a warning, or if they are hinting at something. Great job on the entry!

Hi, Elizabeth!

I listened to your great entry, and I'm sure your neighbors aren't hinting at anything. You sound like you must be wonderful with the kids!
