The girl with the tape recorder

I discuss how I came to use a tape recorder to help interpret the world around me. It's a project that I'm passionate about, and it shows how even without a radio show, I seek to be a host and encourage people to explore life through the spoken word.

Oh yes you do: Hostiness in spades. This is excellent. Great project. Can't wait to see what you do (artsy!) with it. I love my digital recorder, but maybe not as much as you love your tape recorder. It's all fun. Good luck!

I ought to have listened to my mother when she wanted me to take those hostiness lessons.

And you are very charming as a host. You will have to record hours of casual yapping, but you may have something here, even if you don't get your radio show right away. Stick with it.

Another inanity. All listeners and commenters welcome.

I guess you could call your show This Lauren Life.

Well, maybe not. You'll have to work on that. And maybe not redo TAL, but come up with something completely your own.

You grabbed me and would not let go. I even tried to shake you off once and you just wouldn't let go. Good entry.

By the way, forgetting the wittiness of the moment only gets worse as you age, so use and abuse that tape recorder of yours. Wish I had...

What a fantastic idea! I know there have to be a million glorious things that folks have said around me when drunk or tired or out of their minds, if only I could remember them. I'd love to see the finished product!
