I'm confused: Who's Hosty?

If you don't have a show to host, who is going to call in but you?

You did a great job with this. It was funny, smart, and hosty for sure!

What a great way to show what you can do while telling others about your background! Good luck!

But hey, even though Seinfeld reruns are better than many of the new shows that are on TV, I try to catch "The New Hour with Jim Lehrer" as much as I can because I like his reporting style.

Anyway, very creative piece, man! You stated what you want from a radio show, and you did it in a very creative way. As a matter of fact, I thought the best part of the audio was when you "called in" as if you were on the phone. I don't know how you did that exactly, but you did that very well. You'll probably do very well in this competition.

Indeed. If you are discussing anything related to the delicate balance of the space time continuum it is appropriate and proper to have "The Power of Love" playing in the background. The one danger is then associating yourself with Christian Bale and other psychoes in America. Not that american psychoes couldn't be entertaining as well.

A handful of entries have tackled this "I'm interviewing myself" technique yet none have done so with your ingenuity. Speaking to the 'you's who have been (and the 'you' who may very well be) was a brilliant idea. And you pulled it off exceptionally well, with just enough vocal variety to make it feel honest, not contrived. You're a late entrant, but I think you have a real shot at Round Two. I'm impressed.

Being familiar with past and present tense Sean, I can unflinchingly attest to the width and breadth of his knowledge and his ability to distill that knowledge into smooth, palatable doses. I can only surmise that with the knowledge of the future incarnation of Sean, the width will be wider and the breadth broader.
I do have a slight criticism. I believe that Huey Lewis and the News are the requisite soundtrack material for any segment involving time travel. Then again, it is also possible that future Sean told present Sean that my belief is outdated.
Hark, radio, mine ears are hungry and Sean is bringing home the veggie bacon!

Your are truly the hostess with the mostess. Love the ingenuity, creativity, and hostiness. And nice groovy music to boot.
I may fall out of the lines of the target demographic of the the Splendid Table, but I listen to it every Sunday.
But now, I may have to start dividing my listening time to that and the "Stevens in Action' npr report.

Sean, I like the whole way you put this together...

The more I hear the "interview yourself" style of submission the more I like it, and wish I had tried that. It is so much fun.

as a fellow twenty-something, I think you're right about public radio needing something for a younger audience.

and this was amazingly creative and really well done.
