Nice way you wove that rap into a parody of public radio. Although I don't know if I've ever seen a public radio host on a billboard before... Your rap voice comes across as serious, but also satirical, especially given the content. Good luck!
I have listened to a LOT of entries and Talk Star is the best I’ve heard.
Why?
Because the author (“extrawise”) didn’t just CLAIM to be a good talk radio host – he actually *demonstrated* the two most important aspects of being a good talk show host: a combination of domain knowledge and clever satirical wit.
“Talk Star” has the humor of a Brothers Judd production, with the insight of a Dennis Miller routine.
One of the main things that annoys me about MOST talk show hosts is that (apart from a few like Dennis Miller, Charlie Rose, and Michael Krasny) is that they don’t actually KNOW anything.
This means they have no basis to a) understand the topic being discussed or b) ask really insightful and useful questions to the guests.
I don’t want to listen to a host who merely provides a forum for the guest to give a free commercial about whatever idea they are pitching, OR just bashes an unpopular idea without analysis.
I’m looking for someone who can be both insightful and clever. Someone who can both make me think and laugh!
Sure that’s hard, that’s why there are so FEW good hosts.
very entertaining! but I dont think nickleback will let you tour with them!
very fun listen!
ought to send you a Benjamin.
