Nest of Vipers Introduction

Submitted by plotbox on May 10, 2007 - 2:31pm. ::

I have been producing a podcast called Nest of Vipers which is being distributed by KQED Independents. The show is billed as cultural chitchat for know-it-alls, ne’er-do-wells and nattering nabobs everywhere. This is the intro for one of the episodes.

Hi
great voice. I was hoping we would hear a little bit from Sinister about his embarrassing moment. I guess there actually is a podcast going already, so I guess I could go check it out. Sounds like a fun show.
Good Luck

I love this show! Who better to tune us into important haps of the cultural underground than someone who's been right there for decades? Great voice, guests, style - a radio star on the rise.

Danny P's podcast rocks, one of the very few I always catch. Listening to his show is like being a guest at the coolest cocktail party you ever attended: just the right mix of people, with a great host. Radio needs this guy.

because I already listen to his show.

I listen to his podcast, Nest of Vipers. I subscribe to several podcasts, but N.O.V. is the only cast I listen to all the way through, every episode. Danny P. is the face of new media, and has been doing great art since when it was old media.

Danny P. has a fabulous knack for getting people together in a room who SHOULD get together in a room, winding 'em up and letting 'em go. And he jumps in just enough to add without cluttering the flow like some hosts do. He knows that less is more, and he knows that the filmmaker doesn't need to insert himself fully into everything he does (even when the film is audio only.)

And he's got the indie rolodex many would kill for. Danny P. is the punk rock Larry King.
Please give this guy a show.

You should have gone with Entertainment. That was really good. I laughed out loud. I'm going to check out your regular show. Where can I find it? I'm always interested in ne'er-do-wells.

Wow. I think you stopped 40 seconds to early. I could have listened to more of the actual content of that show rather than just the intro. Its an interesting topic too. Who doesn't like to hear stories of peoples mind numbing embarrassment? Oh well. Sounds like you have a nice show already :D also you're meter and tone sound a lot like the guy who moderates Left Right & Center. Interesting!

Great segment. Can't wait to hear the guests' responses. If you are ever short on guests I can send a few know-it-alls your way. That would be much kinder than sending them where I usually think to send them.

"Nest of Vipers" is a great name for your show. I guess as the host that makes you a snakehandler? Dangerous profession. Be careful. You need to survive until the next round.
