The Ladies Room with Lolis is a Woman’s Talk Radio Show. The conversations range from current affairs, to fashion, to philosophy but it’s the story behind the headlines that makes this show unique. Lolis grew up in Mexico, survived the life of an NFL wife, raised children and built businesses, and it is her varied background, her curiosity and love for life that colors this show. It is a conversation that goes deeper than information; Lolis seeks to understand the motivations, reasons, influences, and purpose behind the accomplishments of great women and average everyday people who make a difference in the lives of others. A woman needs to know that she is not defined by her bra size, the committees she sits on, the man in her life, the size of her house, or the car she drives. A woman can be so much more than that. This show seeks to create an army of women that by telling their stories will inspire others to find their true purpose in life and then go out and change the world.

What's your favorite public radio show?

Hard to choose....but I'd have to say I love the diversity of Fresh Air. I am sooooo tired of the same depressing "hard" news.

What's your secret talent?

I have a secret Talent?!?!

What song is stuck in your head right now, you know, a music wedgie?

I know this song is so over but Knarles Barclay's "Crazy" has permanent residence in my brain at the moment.

What sound is most characteristic of where you live?

Well, considering that the Construction Crane is the official bird of Austin, I'd have to say jackhammers. The birds are nice too.

What's your favorite sound memory?

The light switch before my head hits the pillow.
Or maybe, the first time I heard my baby's heartbeat.....
