What's your favorite public radio show?: This American Life/All Things Considered
What song is stuck in your head right now, you know, a music wedgie?: Shangri-La--The Kinks
What sound is most characteristic of where you live?: The man who lives next door has a very distinctive laugh. Almost a cackle. Something out of a movie studio's sound effects library from the 1930s. I hear his laugh at least twice an hour.
What's your favorite sound memory?: The first time I heard a piece of Bernard Herrmann's music. It was the score to Vertigo.
