Bio: A lifelong resident of Stoneham, Ma., I began doing stand-up comedy in the mid-1980's, performing throughout New England and much of the U.S. I've worked with such noted comics as Sim Kinison, Judy Tenuta, jimmy Tingle and political satirist Barry Crimmins. I currently write for two local newspapers and have a humor column in The Stoneham Independent. my columns can be accessed from my website www.danmargarita.com.
What's your favorite public radio show?: Fresh Air with Terry Gross---She's the best interviewer I've ever heard. Time and again I've heard a guest say "Nobody's ever asked me that before" or "That's a really good question.'
What's your secret talent?: Well, I do impressions and play guitar (much better at the former than the latter).
What song is stuck in your head right now, you know, a music wedgie?: "It's In The Way That You Use It" by Eric Clapton.
What sound is most characteristic of where you live?: Traffic.
What's your favorite sound memory?: Probably, hearing The Beatles on The Ed Sullivan Show.
