Daniel Steinberg is a writer, editor, coder, and podcaster at Dim Sum Thinking. Whenever possible he hangs out with Kimmy-the-wonderwife and their daughter Maggie Rose. He misses Elena more than you could imagine.

What's your favorite public radio show?

It's a three way tie - and I'm a late comer to all three. "This American Life", "On the Media", and "Wait wait don't tell me" are shows I listen to live or on podcast each week.

What's your secret talent?

I have a weakness for cookbooks and love to read through them and try new recipes. If you've been over to our house, it's not much of a secret - they're everywhere.

What song is stuck in your head right now, you know, a music wedgie?

The Gap Band's "I don't believe you want to get up and dance" which is better known as "Oops upside your head". Better than in the old days when it was usually a song by the Wiggles or from Bear in the Big Blue House.

What sound is most characteristic of where you live?

Wow - I hate to say it but probably the sound of the cars accelerating by our house to get up to speed before having to hit the brakes at the end of the street.

What's your favorite sound memory?

At night before bed, my daughters and I would lay down and tell "one days". The only rules were that the story had to start "One day" and finish "the end." My favorite sound memory are the stories and jokes they would tell me each night.
