State: WA
Bio: Born in Portland, raised in San Diego, went to university in New York and married in Barcelona, Spain. I am a bit of a nomad and find it hard to stay put for too long. I love to travel and eat all sorts of food as long as it isn't "jello-like" in texture, so boiled pig's feet and oysters are out. I'm very pale and burn easily.
What's your favorite public radio show?: I'd say, This American Life
What's your secret talent?: I am especially adept at growing peas and I do great accents.
What song is stuck in your head right now, you know, a music wedgie?: The Chaffeur by Duran Duran, but probably because I have it on repeat.
What sound is most characteristic of where you live?: Lately rain seems to be the most prevalent. Then again, it has so many sounds...from the soft pats of a morning rain, to pebble-like crashes against the roof at midnight. I love them all.
What's your favorite sound memory?: When I was a child, I would lay on the couch when my mother was vacumming and close my eyes. For some reason it was the most calming sound and I would often fall asleep, but not before feeling immense amounts of pleasure. Weird, I know.
