I’ll do you one better and give you my radio secret talent. I can preset radio stations in the car … without the use of the manual.

What song is stuck in your head right now, you know, a music wedgie?

“The Girl is Mine” by Michael Jackson and Paul McCartney. Recently I’ve taken an unhealthy interest in this song. Paul McCartney and Michael Jackson fighting over a woman could it get any better? Or weirder?
When I listen I like to think of it all west side story fighting especially with Michael moon walking out of the path of Paul’s fist and then spinning, rising up to rest on his toes and releasing a “he he he” taunting Paul in a “Bring it, bitch!” kind of way.
Perhaps my favorite part of the song is the lyrical trash talking at the end. Rotating between singing and talking when downsizing an opponent seems like a rather less intimidating technique, something I would expect from Mike Tyson and not, Paul. Michael even throws down to Paul saying “Well after loving me she said she couldn’t love another”
Sure Michael ... sure. That statement aligns perfectly with your Hollywood playboy rep.

What's your favorite sound memory?

My brother’s back-beat when we recorded our first LP (Maxell tape) for Python Posse in 1988. Python Posse was a little-known white rap/hip hop trio from Bethesda to which Run DMC, De La Soul, Tribe Called Quest, and many others owe their later successes.
